Christ United Methodist Church

Who We are

We are a United Methodist Church that practices Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors and understands what a gift it is to the world to Live the Fruit of the Spirit. Our church is part of the Wisconsin Annual Conference (www.wisconsinumc.org) which is part of the United Methodist Church (www.umc.org).

The Methodist movement is a group of historically related denominations of Protestant Christianity which derive their inspiration from the life and teachings of John Wesley.  As United Methodists we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church's life and witness.  To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

We here at Christ United Methodist Church and Wildwood Chapel feel that the foundation of Christian living is faith in Christ.  Faith is the central loyalty that gives us purpose and direction in our lives.  We feel that faith does not happen overnight, but rather is a journey.  We hope that you will join us and explore Christ's teachings no matter where you are in that journey.

We gather on Sunday mornings for worship at 10:30 a.m. year-round.  During the school year we also hold worship on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the gathering room. Both services are made complete with hymns, scripture, a message, and prayer. Currently our worship is designed around the Revised Common Lectionary, a tool that gets most of the Bible into worship on a three year rotation.
